A movie review on 'L'Avventura'

It is not the case that Sandro and Claudia have suddenly fallen in love, or suddenly discovered at that moment that they have been in love all along. Nor, at the other extreme, is theirs a panic reaction to a sudden fear of desolation and loneliness. Nor again is it a question of the man profitting from a moment of helplessness on the part of the woman in order to seduce her. Each of these explanations contains an aspect of the truth, but the whole truth is more complicated and ultimately escapes analysis. What precisely happened in that moment the speculator will never know, and it is doubtful if the characters really know for themselves. Claudia knows that Sandro is interested in her. By coming with him to the village she has already more or less committed herself, but the actual fatal decision is neither hers nor his. It comes, when it comes, impulsively: and its immediate cause, the stimulus which provokes the response, is the feeling of emptiness and need created by the sight of the deserted village. Just as her feelings (and his too for that matter) are neither purely romantic nor purely physical, so her choice, Antonioni (the director) is saying, is neither purely determined nor purely free. She chooses, certainly, but the significance of her choice escapes her, and in a sense also she could hardly have acted otherwise............

Pool / Beach(?) Etiquette and care

Ok i have a little rant, but most importantly i just think it's good to have others in consideration when you're going to use the pool along with others. and NOT a lot of people do this. even though the beach is already kinda infested with........unmentionables......its good to have some eitiquette too there......(and you wonder why its so salty...yea yea sea salt but other things too)

1) YOU know you should pee. you are not four anymore. YOU know when that water touches up to your knee, it makes you want to pee. PLEASEEEEEEEE do it beforehand, that way you wont have to leave your friends or girl/boyfriend there to make a bathroom break (cuz you wont make it!) . Dont think you have super powers controling it and waiting until after youre done with the pool because chances are........ you are human.

2) Clear your bats in your cave. wash your face (you can do it after you pee) and as you're drying your face, take a paper towel or toilet paper even (tissues leave lint behind) and blow your nose in it. That's how you should clear your nose! i DONT want to see white stuff coming out of your nose and I have to pretend i dont see it. omg its so gross! it's like lil maggots or something. *shudders*

3) PLEASE PLEASE you should have been taking good care of your hair. wash it everyday or every other day. CONDITION your scalp. I do NOT want dead hair flakes in the pool as I am in there. I should be making a hair care regimen later on.

4) It drives me insane and I dont know why people dont care about this especially!!! You're going into the pool where.........your TOES ARE EXPOSED. PLEASE CLIP THEM!!!! eww just ew! I dont know what to say, but why would you let them grow so long?! and for the girls out there who did a pedicure before hand and painted them a nice color..........THE CHLORINE EATS IT UP. the coated color comes off and its going to be floating in the pool somewhere. if you dont know, nail polish IS plastic. a sheet of plastic is floating somewhere in the pool. (cuz it happened to me hehe) Oh and if you already have a toe nail color and it's like chipping off already, please..........just nail polish remover it ALL off. i see some girls with like one dot of color left in each toe and they still leave it there. wonder where's the rest has fallen on :-\..........Just keep your toes clean, dont throw away your investment doing a pedicure before hand, and just clip your god damn toe nails.

5) ok SUN SCREEN SUN SCREEN SUN SCREEN SUN SCREEN!!!!!!!!!! dont know how important it is to keep saying it. if you dont want age spots then wear some sunscreen. spots show up ten years later, and you guys might not be thinking it's a big deal. but when you age, all the wrinkles and spots come out at once. i guess i should do a sun screen post later on too eh..

its been around 5years since ive been to the beach........hmm

I use IMs to keep in touch with friends usually. However, there are times when people you don't like IM you.

just a lil example:

1. First if you IM someone and no one reply
2. Or if you are the only one talking (mostly talking)
3. Even you talk(ed) to that someone and they only reply lol or just smilie faces
4. The last but not least if the conversation went like this
   ? - Hey.
   you - hey
   ? - waz up?
   you - nm
   ? - oh i see. umzzz.... am i bothering you?

Okay. Let me explain to you.

1. If you I.M.ed them the 1st and 2nd time and they don't reply..... what makes you think they will reply the next time????? saying HELLO???? won't make it any better.
2. If you are the one mostly talking then YOU MIGHT AS WELL TALK TO YOURSELF...... cause that's what your basicilly doing!!!
3. They only put lol. and simlie faces is because they have nothing better to say to you. sorry for lieing, i really didn't laugh or smile. but these coming faces is the real one we meant to put up. >=( and =.=". the sad is for wondering why you won't shut up. and the other is tired to hear your crap.
4. when people usually say nm ... is because they DON'T want to tell you. If that person is interested in talking to you trust me, they WILL think of something to say.
